1995 Audi 90 advice
hello Audi lovers, i got a very gorgeous 1995 audi 90, mint body for about 900 about 8 months ago, and a few months later the timing belt went and effectively canned the engine.
my question is this, could i fit the AFC engine in there without much modification? am i better off sticking another AAH in? would a 2.7t be too much hassle?
im at a point that a new engine is cheaper then simply repairing the heads -_- what a world we live in

Its easier to stick with the same, there are some strange changes. Where do you live? i believe i have an AAH. It would be good and cheap, and was running and driving, still need to pull it from the car.

AAH/AFC will swap r, but you have to swap some crap around the motor, but AAH has slightly more aggressive cams and slightly higher compression. but AFC has higher flowing heads.

aah heads: 8mm valve stems, dual springs aggressive cams
afc heads: 7mm valve stems, single springs, bleah cams
so you decide, but they will bolt up.
im using a hybrid heads on my. 7mm valve stem, dual high-rev springs, lighter lifters, titanium retainers, cat-cams. i shaved of about 330 grams from the valvetrain on my motor. plus intake/exhaust is gasket matched, ported, polished. and you have to be careful when porting the exhaust side so you don't hit the head bolt hole.
