Default Climate control and blower motor staying on

Guys,

My 1994 90Q has recently developed a new issue. When I turn off the car, the climate control stays lit up and the blower motor continues to run. I've been lowering the blower level to "off" to save the battery but I was forced to pull the battery negative last night. I searched and couldn't find the exact same issue. Do I start with the relays? Maybe some corrosion or a bad relay?

Any help with be much appreciated.

Thanks!

my first thought would actually be to check the ignition switch. if the switch is broken and not fully shutting off the power to things, it could cause this sort of issue.

You could test it by just pulling the plug off the back of the ignition switch and see if it shuts it off.

And it might be more convenient for you (and easier on the car) if you pull a relay or fuse instead of the battery?

Thanks Hybrid. After pulling the plug from the back of the ignition switch, the climate control unit turned off. Good tip! I'll order a new switch and see if that fixes it. Fingers crossed.

Glad it worked out, honestly the switches are pretty cheap, and very easy to replace.
