Hi guys, I have a problem that the roof cloth is sagging from behind the sunroof all the way back to the tailgate. It's held up at the edges but the glue has obviously failed in the middle. I also have a problem with the door cards but I have found a simple solution I hope is working. One had the cloth above the handle flop off and make a nasty mess with rotten orange sticky foam dropping out. I got some vinyl flooring spray and sprayed it and it seems to have stuck the cloth back satisfactorily.


I'm guessing this all happened after the sunroof leaked a couple of years ago while I was away for a few months and the car filled up with water and went mouldy. I sorted all that out but I guess it has started to rot the glue that sticks all the cloth onto the backings.


Is it a simple job to remove the roof backing? Is it even possible to remove all the trim around the doors, windscreen, tailgate and sunroof etc? I would need to get the whole roof panel off to re stick the cloth back on? I'm going to have to do something at some point as it interferes with seeing out the mirror. Don't want to just cut it off and paint the mess so hoping someone has some experience in how to remove the roof interior. Thanks

Your case is terminal; you need to pay a professional shop to redo it all.

hopefully someone with a cab can assist in that. but you should be able to find a replacement roof for around $300-400
