Default 12v to 20v swap? Audi 90 Quattro 95

I found a really good deal for 125 bucks for the i5 turbo motor. The deal comes with the motor and exhaust headers with turbo. I have a 12v AFC 1995 Audi 90 Quattro Sport that i was really interested in doing a engine swap in. Ether the 1.8t or this i5 turbo would be amazing? After some research i found that the engine is a direct fit for the transmission(?), making it more of an incentive since i dont have to swap that as-well. Other than that i was curious of the engine mounts, radiator/other equipment i may need for the swap? Some Audi in-sight would be much appreciated before i get in over my head!

What engine is it?

See this for OEM 5 cylinder engine mounts for a B4:
securing parts for engine Audi 80/90/Avant quattro (A80Q) 1994 year Audi EUROPA 199030

You can likely do most or all of it with OEM parts but you'll be sourcing all of it from Europe

I think you're right, i had assumed there weren't many versions of the i5.
I got a picture of the engine here, im not sure if that's enough to tell the difference. probably not. . .

that is a 10v.... i personally would not bother... you would be much happier with finding a donor A4 with a 1.8t in it, less work, and its almost a bolt in option

5 cylinder in a b4 US market car is a lot of cutting and welding, there are no direct fitment mounts.

Here is what I did:

I bought a $500 audi a4 that ran, parted it out. sold the interior for 250 bucks, and the wheels and tires for 300. I continued to part out bits and pieces and made another 500 bucks in parts. kept the engine, wiring, ecu for my project and put that 500+ bucks i made in parts towards what i needed for my 90 conversion.

Why swap motors when you could be "Overhaulin' the ole 12v"? There is a fantastic thread on here by that name. That thread will inspire you. You have a 12v, now you have a project. 🔧
