Like the title says i just picked up a 1988 audi 90 and to be honest its my first german car ive owned. The kid I bought it from just replaced a bunch of stuff but was saying the thermostat in the radiator hose is stuck open so i guess i need to know how easy that is to fix or if its a big problem. And one last thing is, what kind of problems should i expect with this car, other than that it is a really cool car and im excited to own an audi.

Super easy to replace in the 10v motor that you have.

Thanks, i guess i shoulda mentioned its the 2.3L 5 cylinder manual but ll look into it if its easy.

To your question "What to expect? ". Its. Is apt ce since quite simply successful ownership and enjoyable operation inges on preventative. Maintenance which involves in many cases simply to inspect, diagnose and restore base conditions to start. For instance, you may I have to replace your t-stat; and you may not.

So to close I would say OK, c. Onsider the previous owner's diagnosis, but examine ththe symptoms and decide for yourself.
