Default buying s3 used next year

Disclaimer: I'm relatively new to car purchasing.

I was thinking of buying a new S3 this year when I realized they are all selliig at MSRP or close to it. In the case there is a used pre-certified 2015 S3 for sale next July/August, would it be worth it? I've heard that once a car goes from new to used, there is significant savings even if it has low mileage.

What are the chances of finding a used 2015 S3 next year? Rare to none?

Thanks in advance!

I do know of the ACNA discount and highly considering it. I think it will also be applicable to used cars - can anyone confirm?

ACNA Supplier discount only applies to new vehicles.

I have been car shopping in my mind for about a year and it seems that a lightly used car like you would be after, sold as "certified", would still be really close to new price.

Look at some of the other hot models that have come out recently to see what I mean. Try the CLA45 AMG:

I'd never buy a first-model-year used car... especially a turbo car and especially a highly boosted performance car... Trust me or make sure it's CPO'd and/or extended warranty.

Is that because you assume the previous owner would have driven it hard due to it being first year and high boosted performance?

Thanks for the reply... I see that those prices are still high but I was using the s4 for comparison and the same 2014 model is going for about $6k less than the new MSRP.... factor in some negotiating down and you're at $7k.

Not really… this price point puts it pretty high above the average 20-year-old… but lots of kinks will be discovered in the first year in the US version of this car. No matter how many years this car has been sold in the Europe/UK.

I've never had a good first model-year-Audi experience… but that's anecdotal at best I understand.
