Finally, took delivery of S3 Sepang Blue
After a 4 mos wait, I took delivery of S3 Sepang Blue Prestige + Performance Package.
For those of you still waiting for their cars, here is the chronological order status:
6/23 - order placed
8/15 - got my first "Ordered" email from Audi
8/22 - sales rep gave me a delivery date week of 10/20
9/2 - being "Built" email from Audi
9/14 - the car was listed on the dealer's website new inventory as "available soon"
9/16 - "European port" email from Audi
9/30-10/10 - Car might have been carried across the ocean by "Cheasapeake Highway" to Davisville, RI port
10/15 - "U.S. port" email from Audi
10/17 - email from sales rep that the car has just arrived at dealer's lot.
10/22 - delivery (couldn't have done it earlier because of my schedule at work)
The ordering and delivery process have been smooth and on time.
And, of course, obligatory picture at delivery..

Yes. The obligatory crappy cell phone pic. Nice car!! This generation is going to be remembered by our crappy cell phone pics. I was looking at a old photo album and the pics in there were of higher quality than the pics that we're taking now. Pics were over 20 years old. Rant over... Enjoy..
Thanks for the time reference. Looks like I wont be getting my car until the 3rd week of November

Best of luck with new car. It is beautiful.
Mine was ordered August 15th and should be at my dealer Nov 3.
Of course we are the ones who ordered a car without test driving. Hope we will be happy.

It's been raining in NE, as soon as we left the dealer and drove home for 90 miles, the car doesn't look as new anymore...oh well..

Sepang looks great! that's what I ordered.
How does it compare with the S4?
Also I read an article about the TTS saying that having the front license plate can reduce hp at high speeds due to reduced air flow via the intakes. I guess disturbs the airflow pattern. i wonder if that is an issue with the S3?

Bell and whistles on technology (except for garage door opener & seat memory) S3 > S4
MMI ease of use S3>S4 (the buttons are so much easy to remember)
Interior quality S4>S3 (the fit and finish are much better than most of the car out there though)
Luxury feel S4>S3 (the S4 is just more of a grown up's car)
Seat comfort S4>S3 (the S4 is more ergonomic with better lateral support)
Exterior design S3>S4
Rear seat space of the S3 is definitely larger than B5 S4
Trunk capacity S4>>S3 (I think the S3's trunk is slightly smaller than the B5 S4, because I use the same trunk liner from the B5 and I have to fold the edges)
Engine power S3>S4 (seat of the pants feel here)
Engine smoothness S4>S3 (2 cylinders difference, supercharged vs turbocharged)
Suspension - the S3 is tighter than the S4 but still very comfortable, I don't think I need any suspension upgrade especially with magnetic ride (remember, I'm coming from B5 S4 with adjustable coilover)
S3 feels more tossable, fun and lighter than the S4
I could say that the S4 provides better value at the end of its current model run if compared to the newly released S3. A S3 prestige price is very close to the S4 premium plus price, and if you're planning to lease the car, the S4 has a significantly lower money factor.
I think my RS5 feels lonely now as I have been having fun with the S3 in the last 2 days.
