Yea, financing is always better because you have equity in the car. However, the need for some to lease is because the monthly payment is hundreds of dollars less than financing. And that's with a 770+ credit rating. Sometimes the mileage restrictions are not a big deal. Some people like having a new car every few years. For a good percentage of people, there is plenty need to lease.
