Ditto!! I build/use high end gaming computers as a hobby and my racing sims are everything to me. That means high end hardware. Paddle shifting feels so natural to me as does left foot braking. I'm sure McLaren or Ferrari would hire me as an F1 driver instantly if it wasn't for the fact that I'm 50+ years old. LOL. Figure I will leave the transmission in regular auto mode for most occasions but those paddles will be whispering to me often. Check out the wheel I currently use to run my F1 sims. It actually has 4 paddles. 2 lower ones can be used for clutch paddles for race starts and pit stops.

The only experience I have had with paddle shifters and a flat bottom steering wheel is this:
