Have you experienced any rubbing at all with the new springs? This seems like the setup I want, but I have the 19" wheels and am unsure if I will get rubbing with the same springs.
I have 19x8.5 square setup for summer. HRE ff01 et 47. I will not run spacers in the summer. From the research I've done, it'll be fine. Good luck.

I have these spacers
H&R DR Series Wheel Spacers - 8mm Version II - only for use with my OEM Winter Setup-
Product Info: Mfg Part#1655572
Amazing product, ZERO vibration, road tested to high speeds, in Mexico!

hey, thx for the kind words man. cheers

Ah gotcha. Any reason you are going to run the summer setup without spacers?

couple reasons.

oem 18"
18x7.5 et51
225/40/15

oem 19"
19x8 et 49
235/35/19

hre
19x8.5 et47
235/35/19

the 18" setup, PLUS 8mm spacers, they look ok on my car. gives the car an et43 essentially.
i don't want to poke too much in the winter, sprays salt/rocks, etc.
sprays snow/ice/rain.... makes the car dirty.

now, remove spacers, install the hre setup.
I'm still going to poke an additional 9mm! that's aggressive, but it's summer, roads are clean...
less rock salt, ice melt, ice, snow, rain to spray all over my car.

just the way I'm rolling, there is not a right way to do this, good luck

oh, take the 18" and 8mm spacers off, and put the 19" oem stuff on the car, you get the same exact poke.
so you may want moar wide!

hey there, new S3 owners!
you have to do these vag-com tricks!

first: BORING turn signal stuff

Vag-com tricks for the S3 gang

next: OIL TEMP

oil temp, by default, will only show up in the LAP TIMER feature, which is buried in a menu folder that you'll rarely use. with this trick enabled, your oil temp can be viewed in the main menu, where you would monitor miles/mpg/etc.
this is really important for folks who have a real WINTER,
use this, don't boost (much, or at all) until you're properly warmed up!

S3 oil temp showing up in the main menu, WHAT!???!

Vag-com tricks for the S3 gang

last: KEY FOB WINDOW CLOSING

from the factory, you can set up your S3 to open the windows when you hold down the UNLOCK button on your key fob, awesome! but you can't close the windows with the lock button, why not? b/c I said so.

with this vag-com trick, you can now close your windows with the key fob.

Wow, thanks for posting these. Would you mind explaining how to get to the menus to make these changes? Do you need to hook anything up to the car or can you access everything through the dash?
