Can this be done on FWD--no Quattro? Torque steer,other problems?

greasykid: I could swear I saw something on the APR website about Stage I for FWD versions. Would recommend contacting APR directly however. Think they would be your best source of information. Know they have tunes with low or high torque options too. Perhaps low torque might work for the FWD A3s but still have considerably more umpf. My Stage I tune was great. But it had me wanting more. Recently got the required downpipe and flashed the ECU to Stage II. Oh boy. Stage III starts to get stupid expensive and not in my forecast however. Way more power than I need right now. Good luck in finding an answer to your question. Again, APR will be more than happy to answer you. May be other Stage I tune options available through other firms as well.

You can get a Burger Motorsports JB1 that is plug and play. Cheaper than APR, can remove it for warranty work, nearly as powerful as a Stage 1.

I'm sure they have a tune. GTI's get tuned with great success with fwd.
