For now I only requested my dealer to activate the voice control but rarely use it. In a 3 year-old A1 the system is a lot better

That was actually my first choice, but the wife liked the black better. Gotta make the Mrs happy, lol.

In another thread mods4cars Online Shop was posted as a possible addition that would give you what you want. It also appears to program the windows so they would go down with the top and not return to fully up position.

Had it on 2 Mercedes SLK's. Works great. My local tech had it installed in less than an hour. Have checked ST & believe they have remote feature for AUDI top. Their mod uses the factory remote & does many other things--not just the top.

My only problem with that is voiding warrant... I have 4 year warranty...

Dealer will not know that it is there. Everything works normally. If I remember there may be a way to disable easily. Contact ST for details.

Does the discussion about voice control only apply to cars with Nav?

Does anybody know if our cabs can be programmed to have the windows automatically go down when the top is opened? And go up after the top goes up?

I know that Smart Top will do it for you.

Windows go down when the top is up & you hold the unlock down close to the door handle.
