Mod possible to show gear when in "D" mode?

Mod possible to show gear when in "D" mode?
Is there a mod that will show current gear when the transmission is in D mode? When in manual mode of course it shows M6, M5, etc. It would be useful to know what gear the car is currently in even when in D.

I had my dealer do that for my A6 with the 8-speed Tiptronic (there was no charge), so I would imagine it might well be possible fro your car as well. Ask them to do it next time you're in and see what they say.
I think it is a case that Audi has quite a number of functions that they do not activate by default in the US.

sounds like something vagcom might be able to do?
