Default New member-future A3 owner-needs advice

Hello I am excited to find this forum. I have been researching convertibles and looking at new cars for the past two years. After test driving a new BMW 2 Series cab. and a new A3 cab. last week I ordered a 2015 A3 Premier Plus cab in Monsoon Gray with Sport Package and Drivers Assist. Now I have around 3-4 months to wait for it to arrive. Other than looking at this site 3-4 times a day, starting to move my music to an SD card and dreaming about its arrival what can I do to make the wait seem shorter? What have others done to pass the time between order and arrival? Would it be wrong for me to go to the dealer once a week and request another test drive? Right now the weather is perfect for a convertible here in Florida, and I am going crazy waiting.
Thanks for any suggestions you have.

I can relate - I am two months away myself. As I am sure you have scoured the Internet and YouTube for every review and pertinent video by now the waiting game is on. Not sure if you have been there yet but the A3 section of the forum at Vortex is always a good place for VAG info: www.forums.vwvortex.com

You might see if the dealer can get you an owners manual to start reviewing.
Other than that, maybe stock up on the correct SPF # suntan lotion you'll need for those top-down days.
Where I am in NYS there is still snow on the ground, the temp dips into the 20's at night and up to 3" more snow expected on Friday, so things could be worse lol

If you have an iPad you can download the myAudi IQ app here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/myau...951072430?mt=8

If not, you can watch "The New Audi A3 — Things You Need to Know!" Broadcast from Audi HQ · January 10, 2015, at the following link: The New Audi A3

Lots of great info in the latter. No iPad here so I can't speak for the app. Waiting for them to make it for Android. Enjoy! It will be here before you know it. I should know--I special ordered mine too ;-)

Thanx for reminding me about prepping an SD card for the car.

I'm in a similar boat. 2 days ago, I got a notice about the start of production of my car. I understand it only takes a few days to complete once it's underway, so I'm guessing it'll be complete by the week's end. If its at the port by March 30th, it could make it onto a boat departing for San Diego that day and be here by the end of April.

See, I'm obviously looking for things to do while waiting too

Thanks everyone for all of your suggestions. I have viewed the New A3 Video, and am trying to limit myself to one YouTube video a day. Guess I can also clean out the garage and go to the Auto parts store and get some new auto care supplies.

Default 2015 A3 Cab on the way

Got a message today. My car is built and on its long journey to Florida. Do not have a ship or sailing date yet, but it is expected to be here by the end of May. Good thing too, I have watched all of the videos so many times I think I have them memorized. Going on this site 4 times a day is a little excessive as well. Have ripped every cd I have to a SD card, so guess the only thing left is get the 2002 BMW 530i ready and get it sold. It is really top down weather now and I hope it last.

Get the front of your car covered with Xpel Ultimate and the have the car coated with Opti Coat Pro+ including the wheels!

If you don't know what Xpel or Opti Cost Pro is... watch some youtube videos and google it. There is a ton of info on booth products and both products are amazing!

You will want to do this as soon as you get your car... like drop it off that same day or next if you can.

Other things to look at are:

WeatherTech Floor Liners
Pro Clip cell phone holder

Good luck you will love the car!

Just got an email that my car has been shipped. It is on the Chesapeake Highway and is due in JAX on May 28 as of right now. Hopefully that means I should be driving it first week of June. Just in time for a trip to the beach.
