Ya, the thing with a lot of those mods, they weren't on the car long enough to warrant the oil consumption. I haven't had any issues lately and just put a catch can in the car, but I almost never drive the car any longer - once every week or two (I walk or public transit to work/life) - to see any oil burning. Still monitoring and bought all the equipment to do my oil changes at 5K intervals.

Since I purchased this car, I want it to last awhile and really don't want the dealership touching it as I keep having headaches with specifically them. I was going to trade it in a few months ago, but its paid off and I don't want a new car payment, especially since I almost never drive as I use to (commuting to work).

With new confirmation, the JB1's don't flag TD1's. There are 4 classifications VAG uses (I forget exactly what they are), so it would be nearly impossible to deny warranty, which I've been through enough with the headache dealerships. I get where Audi is coming from with warranty, but I'm too much of a gear head to know what can and can't cause a warranty claim.

All in all, I digress, but still don't expect oil consumption in a brand new car. Really means something internal is wrong (piston rings, valve seals, cylinder scaring). Hoping jclaib7 can get his situated as 2 quarts in 3K miles is very concerning.

Welp, the oil light came on again, after roughly 800 miles. Only difference now is that I do a good amount of city driving. #headache
