WOW! I drive in dynamic all the time and I hit 250 before the light comes on. I tend to race everywhere too. Averaging 23-25mpg and it's a mix of city and highway.

Define "all the time" I'm in dynamic+S 98% of the time. I've been smelling sulfur a few times lately, I figured it was a new car thing but maybe there's a fuel or emissions issue.

The tank is 14.5 gallons and the red light shows up when 2.5 gallons left. So you are doing 250 miles with 12 gallons.
250/12 = 20.8 mpg.
I am able to get good mpg with car in dynamic and transmission in D. To report in Fuelly soon.

I measure by mileage. My numbers are exact. Fuel fill up divided by miles driven. Logged in a book at every fill up. I signed up for fuelly and am going to transfer the numbers in there for others to see.

And I don't think the tank in an s3 is 14.5 gallons, the max I've filled is 12.7 and that was at 0 miles left. Was struggling to find a Shell.

I topped out at 33 MPG on the In-dash calculator driving 50 miles with zero boost and 60 MPH. But that wasn't easy! I seem to average about 19-22 range on the same commute driving full throttle anywhere from 80-120 mph, which I was seems decent enough for that kind of speed. Where I am dissapointed is in city driving... I tend to have a heavy foot, city mpg usually shows single digits.

I don't have an S3, but have an A3 which I'm sure has the same exact gas tank and the largest fillup I've done so far was 13.80 gallons. I log everything each time I fill up. I'm not particularly excited about my gas mileage, but average 27.44mpg, worst 25.20 and best 29.56.

I'd be pretty pissed if I got 20mpg in the S3! I use to complain when I got 32mpg with my old car. You'd think newer cars would get better gas mileage but they clearly don't, granted lots of other variables that factor in.

Hit a new LOW going to work yesterday!! (6 miles of city, 12 of highway)

Drum roll....

14.7 MPG

Woo hoo!

/

Saw a new vette on the way, figured he was probably getting better mileage even with 200 more hps and 4 more cylinders.

I would start documenting this with the service department. It's one thing to not get advertised MPG but this is nowhere near.

Most others are reporting decent MPGs.

Try a 70 mph run on the a flat stretch of a freeway with cruise control. If you don't get close to 30 mpg I would complain to Audi

^^^ I've reported this to AOA and also local service dept.

I was driving pretty hard for that mileage, I should say... But... Less than 15 mpg, come on.
