Has anyone successfully resolved the wiper chatter issue? I've tried using a clay bar to clean the windshield, cleaning the windshield wipers and still not luck.

I'm going to take my a3 in for the first oil and I'm going to bring up the issue with the dealership.

Just purchased the car, and of course since we're in southern Arizona there is no rain. However, I recall having the issue with new wipers on my S4 and an application of Rain-X on the windshield solved the problem. Anyone try it?

Cleared quite a bit with new wiper and adjustment. Verdict still out since it hasn't been in the rain much...

Mine cleared up on it's own after a driving in a few rainstorms. No lurching or chatter at all now.

They'll break in after a few storms, also a thin application of Rain-X will speed things up as well. Over 7000 miles and I don't get chatter anymore.

I can't speak for the A3/S3 since I don't have mine yet but in my prior cars I found the wiper chatter was alleviated when using RainX glass treatment... Just my 2 cents.

Default Same Wiper Chatter

Last night I polished the windshield with glass polish (from Griot's) using an orbital machine. Today I drove in the rain for over a half hour---no more chatter. I'll monitor the solution and repost later. But it solved the problem completely for now.

I use aquapel. I have for years and love it. Apply it every 6 months and don't EVER use my wipers. I did however test them when I first got the car. Lots of chatter until first application of aquapel. Problem solved. (Also don't use my wipers anymore either)

Yep, here too, but haven't tried in moderate or heavy rain yet.

+1 on rain X on my previous cars, haven't put it on the S3 yet.

Default Yep, Chatter

I experienced the same thing, especially with the driver's side. Took mine in 3 times before it was fixed...blades cleaned twice and tension adjusted twice. I still hear it at the top and bottom. Might consider the RainX treatment.
