P2015 Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor
Hi,
I wonder whether anyone may have experienced this error code on a 2009 A3 2.0T TFSI.
P2015 Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor/Switch Circuit Range/Performance (Bank 1) (Powertrain, Generic)
The research I’ve done so far has turned up similar problems on other models but not the A3. What confuses me somewhat is that apart from the engine warning light my vehicle appears to be running fine, no idle issues, no misfires and no apparent change in fuel economy. All the accounts I’ve read so far indicate that if this sensor isn’t working it will affect engine operation.
It appears that the preferred dealer solution for other models is a replacement of the entire intake manifold and I’m fairly reluctant to go that route unless there is no alternative.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Andy.

All about carbon build up yet everything for me is running fine-just error code. I hear about replacement, cleaning valve, walnut shell blasting etc.... but not seeing performance issue-now i do have some blow-by/lil oil lining some stuff but wonder if a good spray of seafoam in intake would burn off and could that be causing....Damn these new cars lol
