Default Rim width question

Hi folks,

I have A3 8p, '06 with oem R17 rims with 225/45 tires, however I am planning to change those to different R17 (also OEM ones) and found a good deal but I am worried about the width of them.
I believe current rims that I have are 7.5J ET56 (might be wrong), and the ones in the ad are 7J ET42. Would that be a problem and what are the limits for the width on 8P?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Correct. It's just that I found OEM rims which are apparently narrower than my current ones.
