Adding Electrical Accessories

Adding Electrical Accessories
I'm planning to take my 2011 S5 to a track day and have figured out how to mount a GoPro between the grill and the lower plastic skid plate. (It gives a great low angle view of the road!)
However, the GoPro battery doesn't last long and in that awkward mounting location it will be a pain to replace. I have a Frame, which allows direct power, but I'm wondering about the best power source in the engine compartment or somewhere forward on the car. Is there an easy place to hook into the car's existing wiring?
Anybody have any experience or suggestions? I'm planning to take it to the Audi dealer and/or a car audio shop but thought I'd ask here first.

I believe there are + & - battery terminals under the hood, check your owners manual.
You should be able to tap 12 vdc from them with a little bit of cobbling. Add an in-line fuse to the hot side to protect the circuit is something goes south while thrashing around the track.

Here's the end result:
Here's a picture of the wiring from the battery leads, including the fuse and female usb port. The male to female USB connection is sealed with a little water resistant putty.
The mini-USB wire then snakes along the rightside fender and in front of the radiator to where I've mounted the GoPro frame. The power lead has a rubber cap right now to protect it from water.
I'll get some test footage and post it later.
