Default check eng light, possibly w/ fuel cap?

Hi, I just recently picked up a 14 S5 and on the way back from getting it immediately after a fuel fill up the check eng light came on. I double checked the cap and I may have not full turned the cap tight all the way. In the last day though the light has not gone off. I am wondering if I need to scan this and possibly reset it or if it something that may go away after a few cycles of the car?

I have not noticed any difference in the way the car is running or operating, like if it was bad gas etc also.

Welcome aboard!

Maybe you can find your local VCDS person to perform a quick scan and determine what's really going on.

Default After nine Audis, I have had this happen 5-6 times...

… in my experience, the fuel

filler door is a possible culprit. If you are not noticing any untoward behavior, give a dozen cycles of on and off over the next week and see if it goes away. I think, in my case, it went away all but one time.

Good luck

Eric

Thanks for the welcome and advise. I did take it in and there is a sensor with the supercharger acting up the dealer says. They ordered it and it is due in this week. They didn't see anything else wrong but the code would not clear. I used a full take of gas here and filled again and still the light was on. The dealer was thinking they should be able to swap it within a half day or so at most.
