My 14 RS5 did that after running it hard. I had it towed to the dealer the next day. It was a couple of coils.

Default Do you have a lemon law in Indiana?

You might try returning the car and/or suing. Or make them give you a good loaner of the same caliber as your car.

Default would need the codes.

If you don't have the ability to read the codes you should probably get it. RossTech makes a good one.

i ordered a ross tech cable this week it just hasn't come yet lol. but yesterday it wouldn't even start so I tested the low pressure pump and its dead. just picked one up from the dealer. so in the future if anyone has this issue it could very well be the low pressure pump not providing enough fuel from being weak.

Good deal. Basic stuff. Frustrating that YOU had to go through all this and dealer didn't find it. Your VAG cable will be a good investment.

just a quick update guys. I finally got my rosstech cable and was able to scan it. I was getting a fuel pump short circuit. I used a power probe to jump the in tank fuel pump with 12volts directly and it did absolutely nothing. So I went to the dealer and purchased an OEM pump. Put it in, cleared the codes and all is well so far. I will be getting my money back for the other pump that I had JUST replaced at the end of November.

If anyone else runs into these symptoms, check your in tank fuel pump under the rear seat!!

Thank you all for your assistance and suggestions!

As mentioned on your other thread:
Great to hear that you got this awesome car, not so about the codes though. Here is what could be helpful to check to narrow down the problem:
16471/P0087/000135 - Ross-Tech Wiki
18725/P2293/008851 - Ross-Tech Wiki

Let me know how you get on or anything else you need help with. In any case checking it all with VCDS or similar and posting here is a great way to get help or feel free to contact me directly.

It fixed the no start issue. I'm still fighting the initial limp mode issue. Is there another fuel filter besides the one attached to the in tank pump?
