Default Allroad Misfiring on 1 Cylinder

I know this is a common subject, and have done a lot of reading on here.
Last night my 2001 Audi Allroad (all stock) started running rough.
When I first purchased it 2 years ago, I had a similar issue. Turned out to be one of the ICMs and they replaced all 6 coil packs.

Now, it's the same feeling, but on the left side (#2 cylinder).
I took it to a local parts place and had them put it on their computer, and it was the 32 cylinder. I have a couple spare coil packs at home (new) and was going to change it out once I had some light to work with. Got back into the car at the parts store, and it was fine. no problems. Drove home and parked. Today, came into work, no problem. Pulled into the parking lot, and it started up again. So, it's doing it cold and hot.

I'm going to switch ICMs and see if the issue migrates.
If not, I'm going to guess a bad coil pack.

Am I thinking correctly?

I had the exact same thing happen last fall. I changed out all 6 plugs (needed new ones anyway) and changed out the coil pack on #2. It was still there so I changed out one of the ICM and that was the culprit. From what people have told me the coil packs are pretty reliable. There should be two ICMs so I would swap them to see if the misfire moves. If it does then you know that's the problem. If that doesn't do it then try it with the coil packs. Move the #2 to a different cylinder and see if the misfire follows.

I had a similar issue last month. My tech switched around a couple coils to see if he could get the misfire to move with it. The misfire did not move. It turned out to be a bad module that controls the injectors. A module fried so that in turn fried one injector.

So, if it's not a coil, you may want to check the injectors.

I purchased a Huco ICM and took out the original ICM that was still on the car, and it fixed the issue.
No pulling the coils!!! YAAAAAA
Thanks for the help!
