B5 S4 Cluster in C5 Allroad - Couple of Issues, Anyone seen these?
Hey guys, I have always loved the red background/white needle combo on the s-series clusters, so I borrowed a friend's s4 cluster to see what issues would pop up. Here is what I have found:
1. The fuel gauge reads in reverse. If the tank is full, the gauge will read empty. I believe this is as simple as obtaining a fuel sending unit from an s4 when I go to upgrade my fuel pump.
2. The suspension level control switch (in place of the fog light switches on s4's) no longer is lit up, and the buttons do not respond. Although, interesting enough, there is a vehicle level indicator on the s4 cluster. I imagine that this should be straightforward, just obtain the pin outs for each cluster and make sure that the wiring to the level control switch is still powered.
Otherwise, it looks phenomenal and I will probably keep it once I have these small issues resolved. I was curious if anyone else has done this and come up with solutions?
I did search the forum, but I could not find much on this topic. I am sure many have done this, but not sure why I couldn't find more information on this.

seems like your in uncharted waters with this one
if anything, head over to quattroworld and post this in the allroad section
maybe one of the ar gearheads over there might know more about this

Good luck on this one. The ride height notification warnings appear on the dash, and are run through the Jxxx(?) instrument cluster module. If they can't communicate, the system will shut down. You won't see the warnings on the dash, because the S4 cluster does not have the icons.
