I had ordered a pair of Bosch Oxygen Sensors off Amazon, because Bosch and Prime Free 2-Day Shipping. Not to mention the price was good as they were both "Open Box"

They are both new sensors, never been installed. The Anti-Seize is somewhat neatly applied and not spread over all the threads, clearly showing they have never been screwed in.

One box was a bit crushed, the other nearly new looking.

I was surprised when I was looking them over, one label says Made in USA, The other says Made in China.

I didn't know Bosch made items in China.

The sensors look identical, down to the last detail except for the stamping. Same part number stamped on them, same Bosch logo.

What do others think of this? I'm somewhat inclined to think the one made in China may be a fake, but wouldn't they hide the fact it was made in China, if they were trying to pass it off as Bosch Genuine?
Does Bosch make some items in China? Do they carry the same quality?

It would not surprise me in the least bit if Bosch offloaded some manufacturing to China. They can dictate use of the same materials and design at a fraction of the cost.
