95 UR S6 Avant Radio needed? Question on Radio
My stock Bose suddenly stopped working (Wont power up) after I had some fog lights installed recently. Ironic that it stopped at the same time. We checked the wiring etc. and could not find any issues related to the foglight install or fuses that had blown. I had a 2 way radio friend of mine pull the radio from the dash who could not find an issue. The radio has a red blinking light (I think that is for the Safe Mode or anti theft light). That light is blinking as it has always so does that mean the radio itself is getting power? Is it worth trying to fix this or does anyone out there have a stock radio from a 95. I think the earlier radios might have been different.

Something you did with the fog light wiring (BTW, you already have fog lights in the headlights so what is up with the extra ones?) cause the problem. If the radio is blinking, it has constant power from the central locking control module (should only blink when the car is locked). As for no power otherwise, it could be an internal radio fuse or an ignition switch issue.
You don't say whether it is the normal DIN Bose or the wide-faced (but DIN chassis) of the 95.5.

I got lucky! My shop in Salt Lake figured the mystery out. The Driving light installation guy accidentally moved my hot wire from the radio fuse to the ground. The radio has 2 hot leads so the blinking light was just one of them. The fix was so simple. The new issue with the codes is figured out also since the person who sold me the radio from his S6 did indicate the codes that I had buried in my glovebox. So happy to have tunes back
