how to bleed power steering
i am having a problem searching the forums and the faqs so i will ask. i had the the power steering hose from the pump to rack rebuilt because it was leaking. when i installed the hose i had bubbling out of the x plug. i have replacement seals that i bought from an audi mechanic so i replaced the seal on the x plug. took the car for a ride and when i came home it was bubbling again from the xplug. i think there is air in the line and i am not sure how to bleed it. if anyone can give me a link to do this that would be great. anyone else having problems with the forum or is it just me?
thanks

Jack up the front end of the car. Then with the car running turn the steering wheel from lock to lock rapidly to bleed any excess air out of the system.
Also if your x-plug cylinder head cap is bubbling you need a new seal.

I don't think you should be turning the wheel with the engine running as you purge out fluid; this can damage your PS pump once there is inadequate fluid. It's best to do it with the engine turned off, even though it's more difficult to turn that wheel.
Here are some good procedures:

You have to scroll down the page for the Blauparts procedure.
