Not me but another local KC guy that had a CQ...
I did go by Import Masters and visit with Jeff and Mike. Jeff had a bazillion questions about my motor and experiences.

Current update
I'm the current owner of the car. Engine went out in 40k that was built by David Jones. Blew rings on two cylinders. Engine did not have forged pistons or 7a cams. Had the engine rebuilt by Jeff Gerner @ FRP.

Port and polish intake manifold. 70mm throttle body. Manifold flow benched.
Polished Gtx3076r turbo. FRP t4 exhaust manifold. Tial blowoff and wastegate. Exhaust manifold, downpipe and hot side of turbo coated with polydyne coatings. Racing engine mounts, racing transmission mounts, racing differential mount and rear say bar. New big red pads and rotors all fours. Hankook s3 tires. There's more I'm forgetting.
The car pulls so damn hard compared to old setup. Redline @ 8k. Running 93 octane tune. 93 octane mixed with vp 109.
Going to get car on dyno very soon to do a final tune and get power numbers.

So much has happened (or not happened) here since 2008 even I can barely remember this eight year old thread. You will find a much more appreciative audience if you post this story/info on Motorgeek (Join and start a new thread in the users cars or build thread section).
