Default Is there a simple explanation of JukeBox?

I've been wanting to upload songs to jukebox from audio cd. Everything is grayed out. Do audio cd need to be put on SS card first? What's the best way to store on music hard drive in jukebox?

Yes, files need to be imported from an SD card. There is a way to allow for files to be imported from a commercial CD but it requires VCDS and some coding.
Copy songs in AAC or MP3 format from your computer's song library to an SD card then use the import option in the MMI to copy them to the Jukebox.

Thanks. I'll try that. Too bad they couldn't just make it simple but I can work with that

If you use iTunes, copy the songs from the iTunes Music library, not the app itself. A recommended folder hierarchy when copying to the SD card for the MMI would be artist/album/song.

Ok. I do have a few iTunes library songs on iPhone. I could try that first to get a taste of how it works.

You must use your computer to copy - can't be done directly from an iPhone.

So I would still need to put on media card from computer ? I'm still amazed that there's no USB onboard. I've been using a low profile USB adapter in cigarette lighter socket just for charging.

The wife's Lexus LS460 sure is a lot easier to store things on hard drive. Another fun fact is it doesn't have a USB socket either ??

There is an AMI USB cable available but you still can't copy songs from a CD or iPhone.
In fact, you can't copy songs from an iPhone to any car or to anywhere else for that matter. Don't blame Audi.

I guess you can copy iPhone music to iTunes via the sync feature. It sounds like whatever o want to put in jukebox needs to first be copied onto s SDcard. I'll eventually get it figured out to where it seems easy jumping through the hoops. It's not like I've got 3000's of songs to put on. Maybe s cpl 100. Might put a few video clips on too as a novelty.
