Default Just got 98 A4 2.8Avant Silver- need to prep for winter in Tahoe

Okay, I looked through board, a bit overwhelmed.
to prep my baby for winter trips to Lake Tahoe for skiing, I feel I need to prep my car. I am a bit intimidated asking this but . . . .
Help me like I am an idiot,
1. Wash
2. Claybar - How do I use it?
3. wax - I'll be doing this by hand - need any special chamois/buffers etc.

Any advice is greatly appreciated. THanks

For winter: wax, let it sit for one day min. and wash, then wax again. Repeat as desired!!

Default Winterize your wheels too.

Wash your wheels with your regular car wash soap and dry them. Put two coats of WheelWax (available from tirerack.com)on the fronts and one on the backs. WheelWax is formulated to stand up to high temps generated by the brakes and helps repel brake dust.

http://www.wheelwax.com</a
