I'd be in. We should follow our American counterparts and all go to Krispy Kreme for donuts

Default Yahoo clubs went downhill when they changed to Yahoo Groups (m)

All these pop-up ads and its real hard to track threads because of the forum software that they use. Since this Canadian board on AW is fairly new, could some of you Audigt guys cross post GTGs over here where its easier to track threads?

Default Subscribe to it so you get the emails

I got sick and tired of the ads. Study has shown that ads and spam don't really work anymore, the more you try and push it the less effective it is but then they do have to get money somewhere to continue providing the service free.

Anyways back on this topic of groups. Don't use your main email account - you'll get *issed off sifting through yahoo messages and other messages, or attempt to create a filter (which for some reason works most of the time on Outlook but not all the time). Create a seperate email account if you can. Rogers@Home can have up to three accounts. If you aren't using it, use it, you're paying for their service so take advantage of it. Have all of the group messages go to a seperate account so it's easier to manage. Plus with our group here in Toronto it tends to get off topic a lot and will easily fill up your quota. Seto setup another one audigt-tech which is moderated - only time can tell if this gets used.

I use the web mail feature as I can click on "Delete all" messages in my inbox if I don't really want to read all of the threads.

We have tried moving the group to something else (ie.: http://www.squigly.com/audigt) but it didn't sell. The majority of the group preferred the yahoo method due to it's ability to use email to send and receive messages.

There is also the canadian forum on audizine, so that's another one to follow.

Default I found that MSN communities is a lot like the old Yahoo Clubs

My negative comments about Yahoo Groups stem from the fact that I set one up to keep in touch with my friends as we all went to different universities. I searched around for another free forum and found MSN communities. It has all the same features as Yahoo in the Microsoft tradition of replicate rather than innovate. The only difference is the lack of pop-up ads and the threads are grouped together so you can follow a particular discussion.

Thanks for your counsel to get on the mailing list. I was just being lazy. Hopefully we have enough people that check both boards to cross post interesting stuff between the two.
