Default Talk me in/out of a Q7, R350, Cayenne...

So finally sold the G35, and have since expanded my search to include a Q7. Found a used one with 25,000 km for about $44k. It has everything but sunroof. The only catch is that it's a US car. (Sorry Alex, I'd love to buy a new one from you, but my current budget doesn't allow me.) From what the salesman told me over the phone, Audi will cover the warranty. So I'm not too worried about that. What I'm worried about is the history of the car. Is there anyway I can check for the history with a US VIN? How "safe" is it to buy from one of these used car lots?

My 2nd option is a Benz 06 R350. Everything but sunroof. 50,000 KM $34,500. Canadian car, and I know this used car dealer, so they can be trusted.

My last but not least option, 04 Cayenne S. No Nav. 60,000KM $34500. Canadian car, awesome condition like the R350, same dealership.

Thanks in advance! Keep in mind that my wife will be driving this most of the time, and the reason for purchasing is to fit a 3 months old girl.

Default All those cars (if you can call them that) should be outlawed...

Unless they are "utility" vehicles to work with (as opposed to soccer mom cars) they are too heavy and thus dangerous for other more conventional cars, waste too much gas and so on.

Hell I hate those things... Go on and buy yourself a Smart car.

Default Sienna XLE AWD if you want a vehicle that will grow with your family

or get an EX35 if you just don't want to be bending down to put your girl into a sedan.

Default It's funny when you add a baby to the family cars become to small... I wonder how anyone raises

A family in Europe without an SUV? If you want to be talked out of it ... We got our son to 5+ years with jetta, golfs and now A4/S4s sedans and still fits just fine, sure u bend over but we are still young to do this and not bitch right? They are just little kids they don't need all that room we made out just fine. If u can't fit all your stuff you are taking too much for the baby and get a small traveller stroller instead of those monster strollers with cup holders and luggage racks with built in NAV that can't fit anwhere jam up every store isle and hallway everywhere. Don't make her like every other mom with a SUV and matching stroller both of which they can't control. Did I talk you out of it lol?

Default My Acura TL held two strollers, diaper bag, and a carry on in the trunk.

Get an A6 wagon!

Default No worries about the purchase of the car... questions and some comments...

What year is the Q7? If it's a 2008, the price is not bad. If it's a 2007 is way too expensive.

Do you really need such big cars for only one 3 month old daughter?

The R350 is one of the ugliest cars on the road, it looks like a minivan inside.

'04 Cayenne, any warranty? probably not.
