Default Inline 5 swap 944

Hello,
I’m a bit confused and tired. I’ve been planning to swap an inline 5 into a Porsche 944 for a few years now, and I’m slowly gaining funds to do so, hopefully starting towards 2020. I’ve been researching for a long time now about compatibility and how the hell I am going to do it. I’m pretty certain I will use a 7A engine, because they are not too expensive (although hard to come by where I live), and their tuning capability is incredible due to their forged crankshaft. Once forged pistons, valves and conrods have been bought, they can take a lot of the power, with my goal being 500Kw. Unfortunately, there’s not too much about the engine online, which makes research difficult. I was certain of the 7A but after talking to a man who owns an original Ur Quattro he mentioned that either a 3B, AAN, or ABY engine might be better suited. So, my question is would either of them be better than a 7A for cost, accessibility, and modification (such as turbo and forged internals). I can’t find a thing and it is driving me mad, so I thought I would ask. Any and all help is appreciated.
Cheers
