MMI Restarting every 5 minutes
Hi Guys,
I own a Q3 2.0 TDI 2013 MY13 8U Model.
In the last few days, the MMI (Radio & CD) turns off - every 5 minutes (I have not specifically timed it but from looking at the clock, it seems to be likely to be every 5 minutes (same interval every time).
Most of the time it will restart but sometimes it does not and i have to turn it on again.
I have also noticed, when it starts, it goes back to a specific point in a song I have loaded in the jukebox memory, EVERY TIME - even though it turns off when different songs are playing. It seems that it has memorised that track/time as the last one.
I do not think this is due to any loose cables etc. as it is so specific re the timing that it turns off - i.e. 5 minutes.
I have powered it down by holding the volume button assuming that will restart/reset it but it does not rectify the problem.
I believe I have disabled the phone Bluetooth and WiFi settings but problem still persists.
I am pretty sure it is a 3G MMI but the base model without the joystick control - it has the 2 SD Card slots and the dash DVD/CD slot.
I bought the car 2nd hand about 5/6 months ago and there is no factory warranty available to me.
Any ideas would really be appreciated.
Thank you.
Regards
