I am almost positive that any ECU (S4,S2,S6) will work and all you need is the proper pressure sensor and the correct boost and fuel chip. The reason I say this is that my 1st UrS4 mod in 97' was a set of original rs2 chips which slotted into the s4 ECU. I have seen both and the case seems identical so I would say just get the rs2 parts book and see if the ECU cable connector has same part # or have someone pull an S4 ECU and do a visual inspection. If they have the same connector they are the ECU. I no longer have the files for the stock rs2 boost and fuel/timing chips, but there are probably some old timers that can get them for you: the MAP sensor, and 2 chips will be all you need. If you have upgraded internals, done a big IC, and a big turbo I have chips from 380-500hp we might be able to work out. If I were you and even if car was kept stock I would be careful overboosting (thru hacks and tricks) with the RS2 exhaust manifold or the s4 piece. They do not handle excess heat well and tend to raise exhaust pressure above boost threshold, this is the weak point with the 5cylinder turbo engines up to the SQ exhaust manifold (good to 580 hp) and will cause some real problems if you do hard track days. Anyway I hope I have given you a way to avoid buying an ECU that would be a bitch to find here, and the hope that chips are available to fill it. There was an old perf and tuning forum here that a lot of old hot rodders posted to, try there. Also - call Dialynx in England if you have to have an original RS2 ECU, they will be happy to molest you, you can find these on the European 5 cylinder forums if you can track them down ( I don't keep up anymore - I'm a 4 banger guy now).
Good luck
Rod
