I have a 2013 and was issued this recall. No change that I can tell, I was told only that it was the cold weather threshold issue that has been addressed before.

Got mine done. Only took about 30 minutes. But I had to go back to the dealer. The first time I went the VAG would not upload the program into my SQ. The dealer said something about issues with their VAG. Went back the very next day and they got me right in. Offered to give me free swirls for the next month for having to come back. I told them thanks but no thanks I do my own car washing. Lol.

Had mine done last year!....BUT!!!!! Be WARNED.

I had drove my 2015 SQ5 out on Saturday in Toronto and yes it was cold but 20mins into driving it....I had the scaring 3 beeps and warning of steering failure! Luckily I was slowing down at the traffic lights anyways and the Steering was ROCK solid. It took a LOT of effort for me to pull into a mall parking lot (lucky again to have it after the traffic lights). Called Audi Care to come get me to bring it to the dealership...took them 4 hours to come and get me. This could have been a VERY bad experience as I typically drive on the highways 95% of the time and was on my way onto one!. Imagine if this was to happen while on the highway!. The Service Rep didn't think it was much of an issued and that really ticked me off...playing with our lives. He said they don't get those issue.....

This was on Sat....so today when everyone is back to work I got a note telling me they have determined my issue as a power steering module being defective. They will have to order it from Germany and will take 2-3 weeks....NOT sure even if I want this crap back now ....kind of pissed me off from hearing about these issues and them not really too concern on it. We have another SQ5 in our company and I asked if they should be concern...Audi rep told me no we should be find and that the issue is "Definitely" more of an anomaly....wow...

Hmmh, my wife's is not but we have a S-line TDI. My VIN doesn't even show that it has the S-line package when it comes up. Should I be concerned?

I know it's more of an appearance thing on the TDI but I do have the adaptive suspension and a few other options too.

I had this problem last Sunday. (It was extremely cold last weekend in Montreal)

I let it warm up about 10 minutes since it was -23C, everything was fine so I drove to McD's to get a coffee about 2km from my house. When I restarted the car, it gave the same warning as the picture above. Steering wheel was pretty much impossible to move.

I restarted 4-5 times and the steering eventually came back to life. It only did it this one time. I'll mention it next time I'm at the dealer. My car's a 2014 3.0T S-Line, not an SQ5.
