Anyway, I do have a question for you. What is the interface into the OBD port? Is it a cable that goes up to a control unit like Diablosport? Or is it pure plug and play where you have APR tuning if the unit is plugged in and factory tuning when you unplug?
Are there any user adjustable parameters? Maybe you could post a picture or two....maybe?
Thanks and be safe

It's definitely worthy of spirited driving. You just want to push it more and more. The certified apr shop I went to had to just plug in their Mac to the obd and run some software and that's it! It's not something you can plug and unplug but you can go from tuned to stock and vice versa at your local apr dealer. I wasn't able to get any pictures unfortunately when I did it, but the tune itself was quick, the pulley and intake took the longest. They literally had to bake the pulley so it would expand and fit

It cost me 600 at a professional dealer and to be honest it's pretty good through the winter and should last a couple of years if some right, but it's not the most fun to remove

Phil it would only void the warrantee if you were to bring it into audi tuned. You wouldn't have a problem if you went back to stock at your local apr dealer and then tune it again after your visit with audi

How are you going to take it back to stock with the different pulley though?

But right now I'd hold off on doing anything with APR until we see how the whole Mangrove Equity buyout shakes out.

I agree. Both the pulley and the intake would have to go back to stock in order not to be flagged and still then you may have issues. Audi has become very **** about mods and warranty ever since the Stasis debacle.

Every flash the ECU unit is registered in second place. You can restore the stock OEM ECU settings but every flash is registered
Even when it comes to factory upgrades to registered. Audi service can not be deleted
Services can find it for 30 seconds

Yes pulley and intake would need to be brought back to stock as well. I was referring to only the tune. But spijun makes a good point I didn't know this prior to now

I think I am getting a better picture now so *too bad* I would opt to stay stock as I have bought extend warranty.

Thanks for all tips and facts!!!
