Audi Care Select - better deals?
We've decided to keep out Q5 TDI for the long haul, and were going to purchase Audi Care Select - I think retail is $829.
Question: Can you get this any discount anywhere?

Audi Care covers all scheduled maintenance up and including the 45k service or 5 years, whichever comes first. Audi Care Select is for 55k and up. There are various packages for Audi Care Select depending on how much longer you are planning to keep the car. If you buy Audi Care at the time you buy the car, then there is room for negotiation. Some have even managed to get it thrown in for free. If you didn't buy Audi Care at the time you bought the car, you have until your 15k service to buy it from the service department, but the price at that point is non-negotiable. Once Audi Care has run its course, you have until the next service to buy one of the Audi Care Select packages and so on. Basically at every service that is no longer covered by Audi Care/Audi Care Select you have the option to just pay for the service or buy Audi Care/Audi Care Select to cover this and the next services.

for the TDI it's $1159…
Audi Service: Repair - Warranty - Care Plus | Audi USA
I had an email from Troy at FD Warranty that if you buy an extended warranty from him he will give you $25 off the Audi Care.. Other than that, unless you overpaid for the car, you aren't likely to get a discount on Audi Care

There is no "free" Audi Care. The dealer cost is not much less than MSRP. If a dealer "throws it in", instead, one could have negotiated a further discount almost equal to the price of Audi Care. There are no free rides.
Note that since the 5K mile service is free with all new Audis, you can defer buying AC up to the 15K service.

I paid $800 for AudiCare with new Q5 purchase. I paid invoice for the car and the dealer wouldn't budge much on the AudiCare price. It's all relative to your final out the door cost.

Only an Audi dealer can sell Audi Care plans. Keep in mind they are service plans and not extended warranties. Troy at Fidelity sells third party extended warranties (sold primarilythrough dealers). Audi does not offer them (except on CPO used cars).
