Lexus NX
Has anyone seen the new Lexus NX Luxury Compact CUV? It's launching in the U.S. late this year. Looks like they've taken a different styling approach vs. Audi, BMW, MB. Personally, I'll need to see it in person to determine how all of the lines and creases translate.

Seems like the NX is more a Q3 competitor than Q5. Steve

Part Jeep Cherokee, part Ninja, part Pinocchio. What's with that horrendous front overhang?
My knock on Toyota/Lexus for the better part of a decade is the car-as-appliance styling. I could never understand how they maintained such a following with such forgettable cars.
Well...to their credit, they've been trying to juice things a bit the past couple years. But...Fail. Time to go back to rolling refrigerators because their styling attempts are just mystifying. As if a vehicle is partitioned into 6 chunks and handed to 6 independent designers.
Maybe it's just not for me to get.

Wow I'm surprised I haven't even heard of this car yet and it's coming out later this year? My wife has been talking about trading in the Q5 for a Prius V lately. (WTF?) Is this supposed to be the same size as a Prius V?

Early reports say the NX is very similar in size to the Q5 and X3.

I'm going to have to see it in person. The pictures online make it look very choppy to me. The front looks like a Toyota, but the rest looks like it is chopped half Ford Escape half BMW X3. Maybe it will show better in person because to my eyes those lines just look weird and out of place as though it isn't the same design thought from front to back.
