BMW fan-boy grows up and gets an(other) Audi
OK, it's my second Audi. I had a 2001 330Ci 6M, had a kid, got an 2004 Acura TL 6M, had another kid, got a 2009 A4 2.0T. Back in the BMW days, I was into rims, exhaust, springs and clears. Now I'm into safety, gas mileage and a bit more luxury. I think I made a good choice with the 2016 Q5 (Mythos, Prem Plus, 2.0T, Tech Pkg, 19"s, Tow Pkg). I picked it up last Wednesday on quarter end, and got a ridiculous deal on it (waaaay below invoice) as the dealership was trying to hit their quarter end bonus.
Anyway, just wanted to say hello! I promise to always search before asking questions. Here are a few sexy pictures for your enjoyment!

Actually both the Q5 and X3 have good/similar crash test results. They're both pretty safe vehicles. I agree, the Q5 is more upscale feeling feeling than the X3.

Thank you! Have to agree. I was in the perfect situation of not really anxious to buy unless the deal was perfect. Plus it was last day of the quarter.
Including 1500 in rebates (1K financing, 500 Audi loyalty), I got about 17% below MSRP, and about 10% below invoice. Sticker was just under $51K, paid $42K.
Also got a solid deal trading in the '09 A4. I hit the sweet spot of timing and opportunity!

No, I tried to push for the TDI, and they wouldn't budge. Part of the reason I got such a great deal is that it wa in the lot (although I got them to swap the 19"s for free). I was told the 3.0 was not part of the suit.

Great, I negotiated at the end of August. Got 12% off msrp on 2016 TDI pp listed at 53805 after the conquest and finance incentives. I thought I got a great deal since the dealer had to locate the vehicle, it wasn't on the lot. Wish I waited a month...and tried negotiating post scandal. The torque on this vehicle is extremely addictive.
