I see a lot of Carista threads - what's the most useful/coolest thing people do with this?

Because the threads are a lot of debugging and problem solving, not really answering the question of what the best uses are.

If you read those threads as well as their website, you will find a list of available mods for the product. You simply pick out the ones compatible with your model that interest you.

My favourite mods for my MY14:
-Remote window + sunroof open/close
-Disable LED wink when signalling
-Disable navigation use while driving warning
-Gear display in dash in D & S mode
-Interior footwell lighting
-Needle sweep
-Emergency braking flashing brake lights

I have yet to have my next service, but has anyone encountered issues when they have a routine service, such as service consultant warning you about warranty issues or having the mods reset?

Has anyone been able to figure out the aux heating and aux ventilation settings on the beta?

For aux heating You must have the appropriate hardware

This is additional equipment, price 1420 EUR. Available in certain markets - NOT on NA market

I can tell you that the coolest thing I used it for was to enable remote opening and closing of the windows. You have to get the $20.00 upgrade for this, but for me it was money well spent

Thanks to the OP for starting this thread. I've seen the mega long Carista thread but never read it because they usually go OT or I simply lose interest. I'm going to get in the group buy for my SQ5, but wanted to make sure I don't have to buy the $19.99 app; just the plug and free app to do the following.

These are big must-haves for me: Remote window close and disable LED wink when signaling (a huge peeve since my 2013 A5)

These would be nice just for shiyats and giggles: Needle sweep and interior footwell lighting (maybe)

Am I good to go with the plug in and free android app? Thanks again!
