Not worth the effort. Keep him on ignore, like several others of us!

HELLO dudealicious
can you please measure the gap/space between the bottom of the new tray and the floor of the console? to do so, simply place a chop stick or thin item through the hole where your cable now goes , push it down until it stops, and the mark the length that went in. no disassembly is needed.
i would like to use a dual 12 lighter/dual USB adapter adapter instead of a cable coming through. this would then allow me to have a flush mode adapter in the new console shelf where that small hole is now
as my vehicle has not arrived yet, i cant do the measurement myself.
thank you

thank you
that is enough space to mount it vertically
this is what it looks like.
i will remove the hinge and run a short chord to a male plug with enough length to insert/remove the tray.
i need to cut a large whole and then bond a piece of wood to the tray insert so that i can glue the adapter to the wood.
that is to give it vertical rigidity

Just keep in mind that there's not much room above the center console when the arm rest is down fully. Sure it adjusts upwards incrementally but if you mount that power station at the bottom of the insert, will there be enough room for cigarette lighter plugs? (2 white plugs on left of your pic)
Here's the height dimensions of the insert

i plan to have the top on the of the power adapter being flush with the base of the console insert. thus the only part visible will be the outlet faces themselves and not the hidden body that is underneath the console insert

my updated tray insert with the USB hub-
2 USB2 and 1 12V female outlet
the rubber molding was easily trained to go around the Hub adapter
thank you to @dudealicious for confirming inside dimensions
