Anyone who drives more than 5 miles out of their way or waits more than 15 minutes in line for "cheaper" gas has no clue about economics. My local stations are the most expensive around but I'm in & out immediately (5 minutes) which is important. When I have projects I bill my time out @ $150 per hour so time does indeed = $.

Sure. How's your health care coverage as % of population? Clean water? Clean air? Fracking issues? I'll take my expensive Cali any day. From the beaches to the mountains, not to mention the collision of cultures and cuisines, perhaps the most beautifully diverse place in the world.

Costco Top Tier gasoline
I've always used Costco gas. Now that it's top tier, even better. Lines? There are lines because most people don't understand that the hoses stretch to the far side for fill up so either side is fine. I have a Costco Amex card that gives me another 4% off on gas. Premium in my neighborhood in AZ is $2.97. Let's round it up to $3. Another $.12 off for using my no fee Costco Amex and I'm paying $2.88 per gallon for top tier fuel. A no brainer. Oh and I'm lucky that my Costco is 1.8 miles from home.

....So yeah, I think Costco gas is great....and there's a station two blocks from me....and....and....the prices are great....and.....and.....I use the Costco Amex as well, although it's 3% for me. EDIT: I see we're off the election side-track now. I was going to do that with my post. But since we're no longer talking politics....

I have a Costco a couple of miles from my house. I choose to go to the local gas station in my neighborhood. Kum&Go. Very nice store. Brand new and it is always clean and well lit. Anyone know if Kum&Go is audi approved?
