Thanks everyone for their assistance. I feel comfortable enough to do the install myself, and I am going take the plunge and get a Dynavin unit for my and the wife's 2013 Q5.

The last thing I am trying to clear up though is which backup camera actually works with the Dynavin unit? I want to use the OEM hatch handle style that blends into the handle to open the hatch.

I contacted the team at cargadgets and I like that unit, but they couldn't confirm it would work with the Dynavin unit. I'd hate to drop an additional $325 for a camera for it not to work.

My concern would be if I added that backup camera, it goes in line with the monitor and my concern would be then would Dynavin go in line with that? I would be piggybacking the factory clip twice, and not sure how that would work.

Has anyone installed a Dynavin unit with a backup camera that uses the OEM hatch handle mount style?
