Great hidden location for EZ Pass (E-ZPass)
I was looking for a great location to hide my EZ pass in my 2011 Q5. I really don't like to way the white box looks from the inside and the outside of the car when attached to the windshield.
The best place that I found is under the large grill on the top of the dashboard (may not work with more advanced sound system). The opening on the left side of the speaker is the perfect size for the small EZ pass box. I used the Velcro provided and it took me less than 2 minutes to hide the EZ pass.
What I like is that it is completely reversible and I can remove the EZ pass easily (if you have a soft plate to remove the grill of course).
By the way, I have been driving with the box in this location for the last 5 months. No issue getting it accepted in both express and standard tolls.

Great idea, OP. Next time I'm at the dealer I'll see if they'll open that up for me to see if it will fit. I have the B&O, but there's probably still room.
I still hold it up to the window when I drive through.

Nice, way to hide the toll unit!
I have to remember that - we use the FastTrak RFID electronic toll unit in CA.
Must be nice to live in a state that does not require a front plate.
Here in CA, we get the famous "fix it tickets"....

When you end up w/ the newer switched one for the CA Lexus lanes, this won't be practical FWIW. Interesting idea otherwise.

I'm in CA also and have never had a front plate on our Q5. Keep it in the car just in case we park on the street somewhere and I put it on the front dash (but even that I rarely do).
