Interesting... However, this appears to address European engines with no specific mention of US engines. US has tighter requirements... It also doesnt seem to differentiate between Adblue engines and non-Adblue engines.. (Did VW use Adblue in these engines in Europe?)

VW explains how it will fix its European diesel engines
