Ouch. Does Chile have high tariffs for imported cars or what is the tax rate. Not all high prices are a result of the MFG, but each countries laws.

No not particularly high tariffs. Its the very small numbers of luxury cars that keep the prices high. Basically every other Audi salesroom in the world subsidises the US low prices! ;-) It's all quantity in the end.

It's all relative really. I would rather have paid your prices though... but then paying your prices I would have got an RS7 ;-).

The car is fully loaded with the exception of 21" wheels and ACC. It has pretty much everything else that is available. The basic price is $75,000 here then you add the toys!

Singapore is somewhat unique. You have tariffs of 100% and you also have to buy a COE (Certificate of Entitlement) just to have the right to have a car. then you add the sales taxes and pretty soon we are talking real money.

Believe it or not similar price in Denmark $ 234.354 = 1.400.651 Kr

Price in Sweden for SQ5 with full equipment cca $ 108.500

FYI tax on cars in Singapore is 140%
