New Q5
On November 19 I bought a 2016 Q5 2.0T Premium Plus. It is the first car I have purchased for practical purposes in many years. It is however, my seventh Audi. I chose the Q5 because of its physical build, performance attributes and yes, Audi elegance.
Giving up my 2014 A6 3.0 was sad for me. I really enjoyed everything about that car. However, because of having to now take two walkers when my wife and I drive from home, the A6 simply would not accommodate our needs.
The Q5 is a much simpler vehicle than the A6. Although mine both have the Navigation Plus and Technology packages, they are quite different.
So far, the only disappointment for me is that the display screen is small. For my old eyes, having the large size screen is a real advantage.
The colors I have are Cuvee Silver Metallic and Pistachios Beige. They will work well here in Arizona.

Thank you for your welcome. I hope to participate and learn from members as well as provide examples of my experience.
Photos will follow.
My naval service was 1948 through 1954. Served as an air crewman with Patrol Squadrons VP-871 and VP-19 during the Korean War.
While in training at Whidbey Island in 1950, met my future wife who was then a WAVE stationed at NAS Sand Point.
The sixty-five years since then has not diminished the immense pride we share having served our country together as part of the armed forces.

carbuff, thank you for your service! Glad to have you join the Q5 club. We like ours quite a bit, although the fuel economy is terrible. But we were expecting that.

Here are two quick photos. More angles to be shot later.
Regarding mileage, this is not a consideration for me. I do not put on too many miles these days.
The Q5 appears to be PERFECT for my practical needs and in addition, allows me to have the luxury of such a beautifully appointed car.

Congratulations on the new Q5. Good picture too. The Cuvee color samples on the Audi website look nothing like the actual color IMO. I have the same color, wheels etc.

Very nice. I bought a similar vehicle (2015) a few months ago and have been very happy with it. Mine is Florette silver w/black interior. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine. I was a die hard BMW guy for 30 years, but made the switch when my wife fell in love with the Q5. No regrets though, the Q5 is a great vehicle.

I appreciate the comments coming my way in this thread. It appears that members not only welcome newcomers but also share their pride and pleasure in a really fine automobile.
I have owned many different brands and models of cars over the years. Audi is at the top of my favorites. The Q5 really does appear to be a winner.
My best to all.
