With the electronic oil level display how do you know how much oil to put in? If I'm showing half way between Min and Max, does that mean I'm half a quart low. If I'm at the Min line am I a quart low?

If the MMI display is @ mid-point, I'd leave things alone.

When I bought my '16 Q5 2.0T, MMI showed full, and after the first 5000 miles service, MMI also showed max.
So, I guess we should put oil to the max?

If so, just order the dipstick from ECS - boy does it make life easier :-)


I keep it in my roller chest and use it on all of the 3.0's in our fleet.
