Default Q5 RS "Announcement"

More on a Q5 RS (RS Q5?) - this time from Audi itself:

New Audi Q5 RS ready for 2017 launch | Autocar

Audi RS Q5 Coming In 2017: Report

Should take some sales away from the Macan Turbo - if Audi NA gets the ride height correct.

Looks good. For potential buyers, would you get one right away or wait until the new plant has been up and running for a while?

That'd be awesome, but here in the U.S., we never get those probably due to stricter emission rules and the current scandal won't help.

It seems to me to be a dilution of the halo marque, to RS a truck. Countering that idea, the BMW X5M was well executed, IMO. Several years ago, a BMW M-school instructor was driving an X5M and I couldn't keep up with him in the mountains. I was driving a Z4 owned by the school. That X5M came with 315 tires on the back

The F15 X5s with the M-sport package run 315s in the rear. That package makes for a very nice handling truck. Can only imagine how well the new X5Ms handle.

Oooh, perhaps I will be getting a next gen Q5 after all then! I have previously said that I would only get another Q5 if it came in an RS guise. While I love my SQ5 it doesn't quite have the stock power I am looking for. 450bhp will do for a while!
